New MOC: Color Palette 2024 (With Transparent Colors)

Here's a brand new version of my 2024 Color Palette now including transparent colors at the top! The palette is also outlined with a new, sleek white frame to distinguish it from the original version! It worked out perfectly that the original palette had just enough columns to fit all of the current 11 transparent colors!

The MOC

Color Palette 2024 (With Transparent Colors)

This MOC features a color palette organized by both hue and brightness, and it contains all 44 solid LEGO colors that are available in plates as of 2024 plus the current 11 transparent colors! Unlike my previous 2022 color palette, this palette is completely filled with no blank spaces! It should be noted, however, that this palette does not include the recent colors Medium Brown, Sienna Brown, and Umber Brown as these colors have only been used for minifigure and minidoll parts so far.

Specifications

  • 108 pieces
  • Dimensions: 3.8 x 7.6 x 0.5 in. (9.6 x 19.2 x 1.3 cm)
  • Weight: 3.839 oz. (108.8 g)

Updated 2024 design including transparent colors

A special thanks to Rebrickable user JaimeNacole who suggested creating a color palette with transparent colors! For this palette, I went with a white background so that the transparent colors would show up well. I picked a white frame to match the background, but this could easily be swapped out to any other color as well! The number of columns in the original palette couldn't have worked out any more perfectly than this! I divided the solid colors into 11 groups based on hue, and coincidentally, there are exactly 11 transparent currently used by LEGO! Yes, unfortunately Transparent Brown is missing here, because Transparent Black appears to be officially replacing it (may it rest in peace). I was hoping that both colors could coexist, but at least for now, I believe Transparent Brown has gone into retirement...

I hope you enjoy this MOC! And don't forget, instructions are available for free on Rebrickable here!

Keep building,

Carter
